01 · About
IndiCap Venture Partners identifies, nurtures and invests in select Indian companies, then manages the repatriation and distribution of proceeds from successful exits.
We are deliberately selective, generally pursuing only two or three new opportunities each year. We look for Indian businesses with significant growth potential and management teams that demonstrate resilience, openness to collaboration and a willingness to benefit from active guidance.
Our involvement begins well before an investment is offered. We conduct extensive diligence, including visits to company headquarters and field operations where appropriate, and work with founders to refine the opportunity, strengthen the business and prepare the company for growth.
For each opportunity, investors participate in a U.S.-based entity established to invest in the underlying Indian company. This structure allows qualified U.S.-based investors to participate in private Indian opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to access directly.
IndiCap invests its own capital alongside its investment partners and manages the investment process on their behalf—from subscription and funding through ongoing administration, reporting, exit and repatriation of proceeds.
Our commitment frequently extends across multiple rounds of financing. We work with management to raise the capital required to support continued growth and remain actively engaged through board participation, governance, strategic guidance and business development.
We coordinate the cross-border regulatory, compliance and tax-related work associated with the investment structure, including the movement and repatriation of funds and the delivery of relevant United States tax documentation to investors.
We invest with the outcome in mind. IndiCap plans and manages exit-related matters, repatriates proceeds from the Indian company to the U.S. investment entity and oversees distributions to investors. We rarely pursue opportunities where the anticipated path to an exit exceeds seven years.
